project365...day75

I think we are all ready to be done with "Speech Berry".
Boo has taken to cheering on days when he realizes he doesn't have it.
Zee grows increasingly bored with my attempts at making the wait time more fun for her.
Only a few more months and then hopefully it will just be a part of school.
Boo is certainly benefiting from it, so we keep on keeping on.
It's just been a long road and we're a little tired of late.

Back to School for Bagu

Boo had his first day back at Preschool today.  His "weds" (legs) have almost recovered from the four shots he received yesterday, but he is still treating them with great care and sympathy.

Upon much reflection and chin stroking this morning, he supposed school would be an okay activity to subject them to..."me dust be wully wully tarefuh."

All in all, it was a great morning, according to his teachers.  I could have done a better job setting him up for success, however.  I'm still in SummerCamp mode I guess, since it only ended one week ago, and forgot that the transition to anything different, eventhough it is his old, familiar school, still brings with it a sense of being out of routine and without boundaries or expectations.  Therefore, a bit of a frantic little boy.  Transitions, Mama!  We must provide good transitions!

After all our back and forth last spring, I am glad we are holding him back from Kindergarten this year.  He is clearly not ready for it and we hold out hope that the extra year in this dedicated preschool, and in addition not one, but now two, days of private speech therapy will help him be in a much better place for Kindergarten next fall.

Anyway...blahbiddy, blahbity, blah.  He has come a long, long way.

Super job, Superman!

Entirely too much homework for a little boy

So.  We just got back from Speech Therapy.  The Lovely & Amazing Miss Cara has been hard at work it seems preparing a "few things" for us to work on during the break over the next month.

I just have one question.

Am I being punked?

Sir Bagu the Indomitable

Our little man about to have his first life goal fulfilled.  A ride on a real "too buh" (school bus).  And for a Field Trip on only his second day in his new speech-therapy preshool.  You know, politics aside, we're all pretty excited 'round these parts for No Child Left Behind.  The end.

Mercy, with that grin, the world is his.

Lord, help us all.

Especially Mama.
