bedtime story with Aunty

A fun moment from Thanksgiving at our house this year.
It was a fun, relaxing time with family
and my first crack at a turkey with trimmings...yummy!
The cousins had a blast together.
So much to be thankful for from our bit of the universe this year.

Supercousins to the rescue!

In February, we managed to get these punks all under the same roof for a few days together.  No small feat considering they normally reside in three different states.  I think we weren't really sure how they'd all take to each other at these ages, but it turned out to be a blast.  Especially for the four older boys.

Zee, however, could sometimes be found sitting on this same fireplace, alone, head turning back and forth, as if at a tennis match, taking in all the boy-blowby-blur.  But, goodness...what a good time.

The sheer volume of new toys, specifically cowboy parafernalia, made Boo's head explode.  It took a bit of convincing to get him to put down the stick-horse, handcuffs, pistol, holster and cowboy hat/boots/belt when it was time to leave.  I think I know what Santa should leave under the tree this year, no?

And many thanks to Aunty KT for the superfun superhero shirts!

August sweetness

My wee nephew with his Grandpapa's name.  What a happy little dude too.  He's always like this...unless Mom happens to leave the room.  Then the waterworks set in.  Mmm hmmm...kid loves his Mama!

Such a sweet little pumpkin.  We sure love you little one!

sandbox birthday

In June we celebrated Finch's and Aunty's birthdays over at our gathering place:  Mimi & Papa's.  Cake is always sure to make the party, but Papa had been busy making a special surprise for the grandkidlets:  3.5 tons, yes tons, of sand for the universe's sweetest sandbox in their backyard.

Thank you, Papa!!!
