project365...day76

I'm not much of a pleasure reader of late.
Although, heaven knows, it would probably be a good idea.
Mostly, I feel like if there's time, I should be reading some variety of parenting book...
but then I can't handle all the guilt, so I end up reading nothing.
{I'm a barrel of fun to live with these days, y'all.}
All that to say, Finch saw this book review awhile back and left it out for me.
Because he knows that I am also an incurable and utterly cliche lover of all things Italy.
My reserve finally came up at the library yesterday.
I have to say, I've really been enjoying it so far.
Fantasizing about doing the same thing doesn't hurt either.
Maybe someday...

project365...day73

So, as of this month, we are co-leading a new-ish family Kinship in our own neighborhood!
{The church we attend is 30 minutes away.}
It was a bit of a bumpy transition into its new format...but I think we've worked out the kinks.
Tonight was Girl's Night Out for the women in the fellowship.
*
We are sad to see our friends {the Mom on top} return to Africa soon {that's 1/4 of our group!},
but excited to support them from here, and,
hopefully even go as families on a work/ministry trip there sometime in the future.
We all have high hopes for our little community.

project365...day25

I carried this rocking horse all the way back, on my back, after my first trip to Russia in 1994.
I've never been a light packer.
But, after I saw it in a little shop during our last week there,
I knew it absolutely had to come home with me.
Despite how ridiculous I appeared.
I'm so glad I did though...the cubs love it and it is such a fun keepsake from that summer.
Hopefully someday I'll see grandchildren on it too.
