Back to School for Bagu

Boo had his first day back at Preschool today.  His "weds" (legs) have almost recovered from the four shots he received yesterday, but he is still treating them with great care and sympathy.

Upon much reflection and chin stroking this morning, he supposed school would be an okay activity to subject them to..."me dust be wully wully tarefuh."

All in all, it was a great morning, according to his teachers.  I could have done a better job setting him up for success, however.  I'm still in SummerCamp mode I guess, since it only ended one week ago, and forgot that the transition to anything different, eventhough it is his old, familiar school, still brings with it a sense of being out of routine and without boundaries or expectations.  Therefore, a bit of a frantic little boy.  Transitions, Mama!  We must provide good transitions!

After all our back and forth last spring, I am glad we are holding him back from Kindergarten this year.  He is clearly not ready for it and we hold out hope that the extra year in this dedicated preschool, and in addition not one, but now two, days of private speech therapy will help him be in a much better place for Kindergarten next fall.

Anyway...blahbiddy, blahbity, blah.  He has come a long, long way.

Super job, Superman!
