sky art

Last June, on a trip to visit family, this happened one evening over the valley just outside Nana's front door:

It was a churning, soupy, swirling sky that, apparently, is a new cloud formation that is as yet unnamed.  It looked to me like the sea, turned upside-down and full of rowdy currents.

So, I took it on a little picnik today and got funky:

Impressionism, anyone?  What a fun effect.

Oh, how I love the Orton, though.  This was my favorite combo of effects.  But, the composition still seemed a little distracted to me.

Perfect.  I lost the horses, but overall, I think it's better.

I love this place.
