Have I mentioned that we luuuuve parks? Mercy. In a wild stroke of fortune and blessing, we landed in a town that is rich with them. Which is awesome, because, the cubs? Are even crazier about parks than we are.
Part of what I love about them is the eleventy billion pictures that await.
You know a park is going to be awesome if the picnic tables look like this. Wow.
This reminds me of my baby sister and the year we lived together after college and before Finch and I were married. Zee loved it too..."Mama...she's getting really, really wet!"
The park is roughly the size of a city block, roundish and surrounded by old, huge, restored Victorian-style houses. This lamp makes me wonder if a boy on stilts is about to walk by, ready to light the wick inside for the evening ahead.
I want some of this Cardinal Vine in my backyard next year. Everywhere. My neighbor has it and I just noticed a hummingbird on it last week. So gorgeous...practically looks like a swarm of hummingbirds itself. Love. it.
Oh my head, I love bokeh. I'm just getting back into the photography thing, but it's all digitized now, so it's a whole new world for me, compared to film. I don't remember bokeh as a huge point in the past. But, goodness, is it ever the rage now. I think I'm figuring out why. As such, the last one is my favorite. The layered light circles around the tree line look like piles of fine caviar. Not my favorite food, but they do have a certain bizarre beauty.
I got some fun pictures of the kidlets too, mostly Boo, playing punt football with Finch. I'll get a couple on here soon. What a spectacular night!
