I'm way behind on these, so I'm going to pre-date.

But, the pictures were taken on the right day. 

Here is the result of a day full of cooking by yours truly

in honor of our Family Day.

Four years ago we were in Ethiopia

and met the kidlets for the first time.

Can't believe it was that long ago.

So true:  the days are long, but the years are short.

And while all the cookingness was proceeding inside,
this was going on outside.
It was a steamy kitchen, to be sure.
Considering it was Ethiopian (Orthodox) Christmas Eve,
the fresh coating of snow was perfect.
