Sunday gratitudes & The Wedding

The weekend past we celebrated the wedding of my cousin, Elizabeth.  She was positively radiant.  It was a beautiful ceremony and a fun party.  Boo and Zee served as Ring Bearer and Flower Girl, respectively.  They are telling everyone the dancing was their favorite part.  My favorite?  When Elizabeth's devoted father gave her hand to her soon-to-be husband and told her she will always be in his heart.

It was a great trip.  And good times with family normally spread far and wide.  My heart is full.

As such, here are my gratitudes...

I'm thankful for Liz and Preston.  They seem to be a very good match.

I'm thankful for a good trip down and in record time.

I'm thankful for my huge, loud, affectionate, always-in-your-business, forgiving family.  We are chaos with a side of crazy when we are all in the same place, but, oh my heavens, it is always a good time.

I'm thankful that everyone made it there and back home safely.

I'm thankful for weddings and the way they bring people together.  And the reminder they are of my own.

I'm thankful the cubs got to be a special part of the wedding.  Liz has a special place in their hearts as she has spent much time with them on trips to visit us and when we have been down to visit her parents (Nana & Uncle) over the past few years.  And she was oh-so-very-gracious when Zee refused to walk up the aisle, or even look up long enough to get a picture of her and the wedding party afterward.  Awesome.

I'm thankful for Finch's graciousness and willingness to solo parent as I was MIA for the better part of the trip, off taking pictures and doing all the girly girl stuff with the tribe.

I'm thankful for our stay in Grandmama's house.  It was a spectacularly good situation for our little family.

And, last, but far from least...I'm thankful for portable DVD players.  Amen.

Until next time...
